Oriental Rug and Area Rug Cleaning

Oriental and Area rugs are handmade or by machine manufactured. Proper fiber identification is extremely important in order to clean the rug properly without damaging the fibers or rug quality.

Oriental rugs are generally made with natural fibers and dyes; this requires them to be treated with special care. Your Rainbow International service professional is trained to develop a strategy to clean your most delicate rugs.

The proper cleaning of oriental rugs takes the following steps:

Step one: Rainbow International air washes each rug. Air washing safely but thoroughly removes particulate contaminants from your rug.

Step two: We test each rug with cleaning agents specially designed for natural fibers. An agent that might work for one rug, may cause another to bleed. We have a variety of cleaning solutions at our disposal.

Step three: We apply the appropriate cleaning solution to the rug.

Step four: The cleaning solution is brushed into your rug to promote mixture with soil.

Step five: Liquified soil is extracted from your rug using a carpet wand. The solution in the carpet wand gently rinses the cleaning agents and soil from your rug.

Step six: Rainbow International rapidly dries your rug using an industrial air mover. Rapid drying is critical to preventing dye bleed.
